You need to sign in to play. Give the Trivia Host the name of your team. The more creative the better but keep the real bad words out of it. Save those for when you bump your head or something.
Print your team name clearly on each score sheet. We don’t require our Trivia Hosts to know another language.
You can play on your own or have as many people on a team as you want on a regular trivia night.
No answers can be changed once your Trivia Answer sheet has been turned in to the Trivia Host. Check with each and every team member for any last second brain sparks before you turn your sheet in.
And speaking of Trivia Answer sheets, we don’t need every answer spelled totally correct, any phonetically correct spelling will work. In other words...if the spelling looks like the correct English pronunciation you should be good.
Make sure you get your answer sheets in on time. You don’t want to miss last call this early or your answers won’t be counted. Even if your dogs are barkin’ you need to move it when the Trivia Host says last call for a round of answer sheets.
All decisions by the Trivia Host are final.
Players must adhere to the rules enforced by the Trivia Host. Order, we need order.
Chippy Trivia is fun, it’s friendly, it’s free…so if you’re not there to have fun you may want to go to try something else. The Trivia Host will disqualify any disruptive or abusive players who are making it not so fun for everybody else.
Don’t shout out answers. When the Trivia Host asks a question use your inside voice when going over the answer with your team.
No electronics are allowed. This is supposed to be fun and cheating kind of gets in the way of that. So put all those cell phones, laptops, etc. away during the contest. If you do we will have to disqualify you or maybe come over and read the last text you sent out loud.
Questions in rounds 1, 2 & 3 are worth 1 point, 2 points or 3 points. Each team chooses the value they want to assign to that round when turning in their answer sheet. Each point value may only be used once per round. Bone Us question is worth double points in that round. So if you’re checking triple dog dare points for a round (3 points per correct answer) and you get the Bone Us question right you get 6 points for that answer.
Should a team forget to check a point value during rounds 1-3 the trivia host will assign the lowest value available at that point in the game.
The last round is worth 2 points per question so you don’t have to check anything on that one. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
At the end of the 4 rounds the person or team with the most points wins. In case of a tie a representative of each team involved in the tie will be asked to come up and answer a tiebreaking question to determine the winner.
Chippy Trivia will have a Seasonal Championship to find out who our TOP DOGS are from our PACK OF PLAYERS playing weekly live trivia with Chippy. The TOP 3 teams from each venue will be to the Season Championship. Teams will be limited to 6 PLAYERS for all Season Championships so bring your alpha players to the TOP DOG SHOW!
